Nope. This not a hit imo.. and way too repetitive. It could have worked as an album track, not even 2nd or 3rd single.

The shoddiness of the hook might have been countered with some interesting production flourishes, but there are none. This is shockingly humdrum from minute one. The ill-conceived key change tries desperately to kick things into overdrive, but really only emphasizes the fact that Gags and company ran out of ideas two minutes prior.

Let me tell you something girlies and I know some people will have a problem with me saying this.

But it's been so long since i woke up to a gaga lead single i actually loved on the first listen. Applause did nothing for me. This morning I woke up to several great news and several gaga related news that made me happy. First, the song is something I've waited her to do since BTW but was scared she never would.
Second, she's collaborated with one of my favorite people in the world, Florence. Ceremonials is one of my favorite albums of all time.
3rd, album is coming this year.

I'm just so happy It feels great to be stanning full force.
