I think I've been able to pinpoint what I think is missing. The melody; it isn't interesting. The key change makes it better, but it's still lacking. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Yes, but no mentally healthy person would ever equate a one-night stand with "Love".

The drug references were used as metaphors to paint love as a high, removed from reality. Hence, when she "came down", she realized it was all an illusion.
