You know the smaller venue at The O2? A friend of mine performed there. He was even nominated for a MOBO. If I was to name him, its unlikely anyone here has heard of him. He's successful in that he's collaborated with artists that have had hits on the top 40 but unfortunately hasn't himself. He still manages to tour, sell songs, produce albums, videos, etc.
Short version: You really don't need a Billboard Hot 100 entry to be an artist, and spare me the users of atrl who work 9 to 5 jobs in retail of a weekend telling me that Gaga, who has had nearly every single hit T10, a flop. In the grandest scheme of things, she's far from it. She's a millionaire. Top 5 of Forbes in consecutive years. One of the most followed on social media. I could go on..
