The above headline refers not only to the scintillating NCAA Tournament but also to the second stage of 16-year-old Justin Bieber’s World Takeover. But the kid isn’t the only big story shaping up on next week’s chart. It appears that diva Monica will sell three or four times the units the experts had predicted at the start of this week. Thanks to Justin, Monica and the latest hits collection in the Now franchise, we’re looking at three six-figure debuts as the biz makes a strong comeback from this week’s paltry numbers, the first chart without a 100k entry after 29 straight weeks. Here's the big picture as of Friday morning:
* Justin Bieber, My World 2.0 (Island/IDJ) 225-250k
* Monica (J/RMG) 175-195k
* Now 33 (Capitol/EMI) 130-140k
Lady Antebellum (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 80-85k
* She & Him (Merge) 45-50k
Justin Bieber, My World (Island/IDJ) 45-50k
Ludacris (DTP/Def Jam/IDJ) 45-50k
Marvin Sapp (Verity/JLG) 40-45k
Lady Gaga, The Fame (Interscope) 40-45k
Black Eyed Peas (Interscope) 35-40k
Twilight Saga: New Moon (Chop Shop/Atlantic) 30-35k
Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster (Interscope) 25-30k
Sade (Epic) 25-30k
Zac Brown Band (Atlantic) 25-30k
Ke$ha (RCA/RMG) 25-30k
* Denotes debut
You may now return to handicapping the Final Four. (3/26a)
Didn't expected that at all, since Ashanti, Ciara & Brandy all debuted in the 80-90k range with their last albums, sooo maybee it's a good sign and they all will debut with great numbers this year
Monica I'm blown away by those numbers, they are at least triple what I was thinking. Good for her. Her last album was a mess, this was a true comeback.
