I am honestly against an Apple Music exclusive if it costs Spotify's support.

They will very likely silent-release the single with zero promotion or playlist placements, which would put a big restriction on the song in terms of streaming. If this is going to be Gaga's "comeback" single, she should be making it as available as possible.

The only way an exclusive would makes sense (imo) is if PI is featured in an actual commercial.

That would greatly outweigh any negative repercussions.

If she gets an Apple Music exclusive I honestly don't think she'll debut Top 10.

I really hope it's cancelled. It'll also be very hard to re-peak after first week, because Apple gives you all the banners on iTunes first week, then they'll remove them second week causing a drop in sales that'll cancel the effect of more streams once on Spotify.

I low key don't understand why you guys worry about it being an apple exclusive. There are literally really good examples of success with the apple exclusive. Like if Lemonade and Anti both which were exclusive streaming titles on the messy services that was Tidal can STILL be in the top 10, why are you guys worried? As long as the song itself has a proper roll out she should be fine.

The worst feeling is when you listen to a brand new song the first time, try to love it, you're not coming around, so then you replay it 5 more times to try to get into it and still can't.


I've never disliked any of her lead singles from first listen though. Applause let me down a little at first, but I ended up loving it.

I need a FEW tracks that were done by RedOne & others prior to him & Gags uniting. I really wanna know the direction she had for the album before he came.

Gaga doesn't have the reliable sales like those two anymore, plus those were albums, not a first single that has so much hinging on it such as this. If she wants this single to have its best shot at becoming as big as it possibly could be, she would be making a huge mistake by making it an apple exclusive.
