When this thread was criticizing Christianity, not a single crybaby came and complained. The SECOND someone mentions the letter "I" in Islam, they're labeled as racist, bigoted, hateful, Islamophobic, and help requests start flooding into the moderators' inboxes reporting a thread they never (or barely) even posted in.

yes, I looked her up and listened to her interview on my phone yesterday! and I also watched her performance at a Atheist rally called "Reason Rally" which is so weird... I mean, it's great to see so much freethinkers in one place, but is it really needed tho? I don't know, what are y'all thoughts on Atheist version of Gay Pride?
I was raised religious and the thing I always see is that is religion can function as good when it's focused on enlightenment. But a lot of these religions have become a vehicle for sustained control over the populace.
It may have made sense back then in keeping order, especially by controlling the illiterate and uneducated through threat of divine punishment, but our societies are changing. And some religions are moving at a snail pace in adapting to those changes.
I wish they could refocus on enlightenment and do away with the whole control aspect of it.
