Discussion: Why is Ariana serving longevity this era more than her peers

I seem to recall Revival getting a 4/5 from The Rolling Stone and an 74 rating overall which is acclaim. Ariana has had 6 solo singles (PYHU, BI OLT, Focus, DW, and IY), Selena has had 5 solo singles (CAGI, SD, SOL, HTM, KEWK)  Ariana doesn't sing with the proper technique all the time either. And Revival has either outsold YT or is at the same amount right now WW. If memory serves YT is at 850k.

Radio compares, streaming compares, acclaimed albums and belting are the ones that Jet mentioned. Can you read?  the ones that don't matter to this thread were dismissed.

I meant they're not as impressive as the ones he posted.
I mean, Ariana has acclaimed albums too. And they're actually acclaimed, not acclaimed because nobody bothered to review them. Dangerous Woman has a score of 76 with 14 reviewers, Revival has a score of 74 with 9 reviewers. Yours Truly has a score of 81 with 9 reviewers, Stars Dance has a score of 59 with 10 reviewers.
Ariana has more top tens than Selena, period. Using the "features!!!" excuse to downplay her success is stupid because it can be used just as easily to downplay Good For You, "the fourth highest streamed song in the US!"
Good for Selena for having 3 #1 Radio Songs. Here's a secret: airplay (and therefore Radio Songs positions) can be easily bought, unlike Hot 100 positions. That's why all of Selena's "smash" hits stall at #5, while Ariana's had three songs outpeak Selena's on the Hot 100.
Ariana has like three songs with more streams than Good For You, on top of them selling more than Good For You. I know that sales have collapsed, but don't you think her streams should be better to make up for all the lost sales?
Anyways, Selena is not bigger than Ariana. And she'll never surpass her either.

Revival and DW have generally positive Metacritic scores (in the 70s), but Yours Truly is acclaimed (80+). I wasn't really counting PYHU, but even if we were, Selena has 6 too, include THWWIW. Ariana's technique isn't stellar, but it's still a lot better than Selena's. Yes, YT sold 850k WW. Ariana wasn't big outside the US back then. Revival is at 735k, but I realize you can't really compare 2013 and 2015 sales. Nevertheless, DW will likely surpass 1 million by the end of the year.

As mentioned on this site multiple times before, DW era is suppose to be Ari's flop era. You know? Like how Artpop was a flop era for Gaga, 4 for Bey, R8 for Riri.
I'm telling y'all right now. Ariana is NOT going nowhere. She isn't disappearing into thin air and by the time her next era comes around in about 2019 or 2018, she'll be back to slaying.
