You really think they're going to change anything? It's been 18 months and her campaign is still chugging along, even after relentless dogging from the media and Trump. The issue coming up in the debate wouldn't do any damage at all since we've heard it all at this point.

All the emails do is make her favorables jump up and down. Polls tighten because some of her voters move from "Yes" to undecided. Note that Trump is still sub-40 is most polls.

Though to be fair, the media gives Trump a LOT of free coverage. Even when Hillary does speak it's glossed over. She needs Obama on the trail to actually get some non-email news segments.

Trump is great at being a publicity *****, I'll give him that. He's made something as uneventful as "going to a black church" seem like the Olympics.

I do get her strategy- trying to run out the clock while keeping a low profile, but the media's already starting to spin the Trump Comeback narrative so idk.

Agreed that it's too early to run out the clock. The media as you said is in full overdrive with the "Trump comeback." They haven't even unleashed Obama as a surrogate though, so I have to think that the plan was to fundraise and then save the best stuff for the home stretch. I'm waiting for Obama to bring up the birther stuff.

I disagree, I blame the alt-right thing on the media's obsession with "balance." Trump responded to that speech by calling Hillary a bigot with no evidence, but every headline the next day was "Trump and Clinton trade racism accusations" even though what each of them said was hardly comparable.

Also, I don't know that he's repairing his image. But at the very least he's stopped making it worse.

The only thing that remains to be seen is if white voters fall for these stunts. While nobody with a brain should I don't have a lot of faith in white voters so we'll see.
