Believe it or not, people still listen to music on YouTube. The replay value is all about the song and not the video. If the song is a hit on radio and people love it, people will come to the video just so they can hear the song over and over again for free, not so they can watch the video.

I think it is a combination of both, honestly. Videos may not have the same impact as they did before, but they are still the easiest way for GP to recognize and understand the artist's vision.
'Uptown Funk' may not be an amazing video but it is easily digestible and accessible for everyone. There is no complex storyline and Bruno is not turning into a swan.
But yeah, I agree with you. I hope PI video is short, that's my only wish.
