The Neon Demon was BRILLIANT. Refn is truly a master of aesthetics, such a beautiful movie, the soundtrack was incredible. Jesse dying pissed me off but once I read the witchcraft explanations it all made much more sense. Elle Fanning was great and Abbey Lee was stunning, but Jena Malone was astounding. I can't wait to re-watch tonight.

It's so fascinating how its Metacritic page has scores ranging from 0 to 100, Refn LIVES for being polarizing.

I just got home from seeing it! Definitely not gonna convert you if you don't like Rob Zombie films already. It's like a mixture of Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses. It's one of his better ones but still unbelievably messy at times. I had a blast watching tho, he's probably my favorite "exploitation" filmmaker today.

I loved it. I've liked all of his horror movies though. The music in this one was great, but you could def. tell he had to cut some things out for the R rating .

I watched The Neon Demon last night - lame af tbh...it felt like they tried too hard to be edgy and artistic by trying to induce epileptic fits in me.
All that pointless flashing **** the whole time with scenes that were so pointless and drawn out. It honestly felt like something a pretentious college student who wears chokers would make.

So I finally have a projector and screen ready to go and Im planning to set it up outside tonight and I need a really scary movie to watch! Any suggestions? Please not the obvious stuff like Halloween or Scream. It can be something ive probably seen. Just not 100+ times already lol.
