What if Perfect Illusion is about her relationship with Taylor? It all seemed so good, like a perfect illusion
You know, everything about the concept really fits PI.
But if you think about it, this break up is sooo recent so this song really came about not long ago then

She posted a picture of them working with Kevin in the summer months around June or July. So who knows when it was written but they definitely recorded it probably this summer.

Do we have a clue when their break up actually happened?
So either, it is really specifically inspired by Taylor or it is just a concept that really fits a lot relationships
I agree, PI being about Taylor would make sense, but would also feel rushed.
Like they broke up and she immediately ran to the studio to record a song from it.
A Taylor Swift tea.
I low key don't want this to be about Taylor because I really love them as a couple but on the other hand, if they are over I just wan't them to both move on. The fact that Gaga asked us to root for them. I don't want her to latch onto something that is hopeless anyway.
I assume a relationship doesnt crumble out of nowhere. They mustve been havin problems for awhile. I think a big portion if the album mustve been inspired by taylor.

Uhm you might wanna adjust your expectations and emotions because if she releases in September that WILL happen
It is described as a breakup song, what more confirmation is needed tbh.
Just Dance isn't about a breakup, Bad Romance isn't, Born this Way isn't, and Applause isnt. I don't think she feels the need to make a breakup lead single unless she actually had a breakup.
First batch of reviews for La La Land are in and they're all pointing towards universal acclaim. This could really help ASIB if it helps push the genre.
