I assume a relationship doesnt crumble out of nowhere. They mustve been havin problems for awhile. I think a big portion if the album mustve been inspired by taylor.

It is described as a breakup song, what more confirmation is needed tbh.

Just Dance isn't about a breakup, Bad Romance isn't, Born this Way isn't, and Applause isnt. I don't think she feels the need to make a breakup lead single unless she actually had a breakup.
