Uptown Funk went #1 in it's 8th week and he never really had a fast starting song himself either. So to me that seems more like people liking the songs and not necessarily the artist, but we'll see.

Yeah sure he's definitely more a gp act than someone with a big stanbase, but he did no mistakes so far, the gp has eaten up everything he released.
He worked really hard for this album, he wanted it to be his best and as ambitious as he is, I believe it's gonna be that way. He worked with some big producers, it's very unlikely for him to fail commercially.
Yes he should have a bigger start than LOOH due to Super Bowl + Uptown Funk.
