Is this about Beyst his performance? It was definitely not 100% live. Don't Hurt Yourself was totally lipped, parts of Formation were live, most of Hold Up was lipped, Pray You Catch Me was live (you could hear her voice shaking at parts). Basically she pre recorded vocals for the parts where she was doing a lot of choreo, which is what she's always done. I clocked it while it was happening, it was really obvious when she'd spin around or dip to the ground in the middle of a note and her voice wouldn't change at all. Smart of her. Britney should have done the same.

The VMAs are about the PERFORMANCE, not impressive vocals, its an award show that rewards image. It's perfectly acceptable to lip there if you're bringing it visually.

It's kind of impossible to overshadow someone who performed 4 times, all pretty decent performances, and was awarded an extreme honor. Rihanna is lucky that Beyonce didn't totally annihilate her, though... she held her own like a legend would.

Well then I'm not sure how she could end up sounded so hoarse by the time Formation started then. Lol

If we say PYCM was live, cause why wouldn't it be its the most obvious one, and Formarion was live cause she was starting to sound ugly (not tired like she just did choreo, but actually scratchy). How is it possible nothing in between was live?

To get from A to C you have to pass through B. This "90% wasn't live" thing is very stan war'd and rooted in bias. Not one iota of evidence exists to back this claim.

Rooted in what bias? I don't have a bias against Beyonce...

PYCM sounded live. Formation was not "hoarse" sounding... the vocals were completely seamless when the tempo picked up. And she sounds "hoarse" in the actual song, so I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here, but no.
