VMAs disappoint: is it because of the music industry overall
Is this show so bad because the music industry is lacking artists that walk the walk, instead of talk the talk? Is there a serious lack of consistently engaging performers?
A show without a host is always a mess, those guys tweeting were horribly annoying. Also, after that Kanye's non-senseness you just couldn't take things seriously anymore. Beyoncé aside, everything felt dull.
The cameras were a mess. Bey was the only one who gave a good performance (which is way overrated on atrl as usual). I stan for Rih but her performances have been messy. She better serve with a killer finale.
They're pandering way too hard to the kids and it's cringeworthy. But yes, some of it is to do with the music industry and how the bar has been set so low for artists.
