I think "cohesive" is a term we tend to throw around a lot.
Lemonade is a cohesive album, you can hear different genre inspirations throughout but it always follows the storyline Beyoncé created, Glory is simply reductive, that doesn't make it cohesive or even cohesive by accident.
Lemonade is not cohesive.
Every song on every Beyonce album is about love or money or power. Doesn't mean they're cohesive at all.
Sounds about falling out of/back in love/songs about power/songs about money/and a song about wanting to sleep with her father (?)
Just like every other Beyonce album -- doesn't mean it's cohesive. You can tell she went to her writing camp and asked them to write a bunch of songs with all her favorite themes in the styles of ~alternative musics~ (with a few songs she can shake her ass/whip her hair to).
