Mariah's 9th album was The Emancipation of Mimi and it was the best selling album of 2005 while Britney's 9th album is struggling to go top 3 for the week it's released. Both released when each were 35 and have gone through meltdowns and commercial decline.

I think RH was at 230 at the she of the year and Unb is at least at 270 now, but I find it crazy that M couldn't even reach MDNA's first week numbers here. I know MDNA had the huge tour bundle but the leak really ruined the rollout.
