Woah, that review really dragged her. Meanwhile, Glory is a cohesive (poor Teenage Dream, Talk That Talk, 1989 and 21) album with more than 5 good songs (poor 1989, Talk That Talk, 21, 4 and Rated R)

You always spend your time on here trying to shade other artists, yet when publications drag Britney's efforts (of lack of), you're on the defensive. Britney will never have an acclaimed album. She was a hitmaker in her heyday, but now she only puts in a fraction of the effort (see Britney Jean, an album she didn't even have a majority of the vocals on). Her music has never been quality music, aside from a few decent singles (like Toxic and her debut single from 1999). Every pop artist can't have acclaimed albums like Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Adele, and Taylor. I'm sure you'll get over it, especially considering that you're always on here posting about how Britney doesn't care about the state of her career, how she doesn't do promo, etc.

So you disagree with the final score? Cool
It's only one publication though. This will end in the 60/70s for sure

The fact that you threw Rihanna among the others invalid your opinion towards Eternium

Rihanna has 3 albums in the 70s on Metacritic (Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R, and ANTI), all released at various points throughout her career. Britney Spears has one, that was released in 2000.

Why are people acting brand new here? The album is not good. Y'all are just pretending you like it cause that's all you got after BJ.
Glory is so dated, the production is so bad, the vocals are terrible. Make Me is one of the the few good tracks on it. And album full of ""bops"" does not equal a good album.

#StayStrongBritney NYT is trash for shading her like that. I think she'll end up with something between 65 and 75.

I mean, "Do You Wanna Come Over" and "Clumsy" alone were enough to put this album away and try something else.

You guys overhyped it and can't handle the dissenting critical opinions now.

LOL and we are supported by all the other publications/blogs that are raving over this, including Slant giving Britney her highest rating of her career. Your point?

Keep trying, Jan. I already challenged suburbannature to find one point where the reviewer actually reviews the sound or lyricism of the album. (Hint: It doesn't happen).
He describes the album, lists whom she works with, praises her vocals and then says he doesn't like the theme and wishes it spanned even more generic themes like female empowerment. Thanks for proving you didn't bother to read the article, though!

Which is very typical in NYT reviews? Instead of taking it from a purely sonic perspective, they discuss the themes and purpose of the music. Which is crucial in criticizing art. You would know this if you actually read their reviews that aren't Britney albums.

I'm one of the few people on ATRL who has bought multiple records from every single pop girl. Miss me with that shade when you dedicated how many months to going through my post history and reporting me.
You ****ed up your sentence with "Every pop artist can't" (that's not English) and buried it by praising Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Adele and Taylor for their album-making skills. I'm sorry more than 8 of Britney's tracks were listenable and for some reason that doesn't resonate with you (not shocking for a Rihanna/Maroon 5 stan), but I dragged the reviewer for only reviewing the theme of the album and ignoring the sonic and lyrical quality of the album. How can you complain about "half-assing" and then stand behind a reviewer who only used his hole to spew this ****?

So the review would be bad if they purely reviewed the sound of the album and the review would be bad if they purely reviewed the lyrics of the album but the review is solid because they purely reviewed the theme of the album?
And mess @ you pretending to be an art aficionado by claiming art should be reviewed purely by its face value and the theme it tackles. There's no excuse for a review of an album that neither reviews the sonic quality of the album nor the lyricism of said album, but you're free to waste your night trying to convince me that the theme is all that matters when it comes to art
