During Blackout the media was trashing her personal life
During Circus the media jumped on the successful comeback narrative.

That's why Circus has a higher metacritic score than Blackout.

I'm not trolling...I know you guys have low standards these days, but it's not a good album. The production is dated, vocals are horrendous, lyrics are cheesy...50 is a fair score compared to the majority of albums out.
