Do you think BYH's sales will only increase as airplay goes up?!
It may be #1 for a while...
If anything it will decrease slowly. There's no way to maintain those kind of sales with such low airplay. Rude Boy and maybe Telephone will eventually overtake it becaue their airplay is like tripled that of BYH. So while its sales may remain consistent for a while, it wont really effect its position of the charts, leaving it highly unlikely to return to the top spot on the Hot 100.
When a song hits #1, it stays there for a while... Being number one is like extra promo, because the cover is on the main iTunes page. I am sure most people download it just because they are wondering why everyone is downloading it. But yeah, it should drop soon. Go Telephone!

When a song makes the top songs section on iTunes it get a boost known as the top ten effect and when it's number one it can pull ahead of number two because it has even more advertising, so obviously plenty of people think that way
