Jay Z isn't a nobody but at this point in time, Beyonce is far more relevant culturally and musically.

She's so above him now. I know everyone loves a power couple but it's honestly boring and tiring.
I don't want the public to turn on her. Lemonade was amazing and it was obviously all about him but he wasn't anywhere on it so it's fine if the subject matter of her music is him and their relationship, but the issue with this is that he's on half the songs and most of us just don't want that.

Because Jay z can't rap anymore and is using Beyoncé to stay relevant and I'm we're not here for any of this tragedy that's about to happen.

You guys have to remember that Jay has more #1 albums than Elvis.......... the numbers don't lie.
When Rihanna was pushing 460 copies post-Samsung deal first week, Jay pushed 500K with Magna Carta Holy Grail on top of his deal.
Top 10 multiplatinium singles in the past decade..... several gold singles and album tracks. I'm sure his career is going just fine. #Legend.
Sales-wise this could be really good. It all depends on the story and the spin.

So you don't think that this will be announced as the first Tidal-Apple partnership? I lowkey feel that may happen.
And no album with Bey featured so heavily can be trash..... be patient. She's worked with DRAM, Future, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Clean Bandit.... and we don't even know if Maxwell/Alicia Keys/Swizz Beatz are involved.
My only wish is that she releases this AFTER Grammy eligibility so that it doesn't taint the chances of Lemonade.

I'd be here for a joint album but similar to a DJ Khaled or Timbaland album where there are a features throughout the album.
So it'd be:
The Carters & Family (featuring, Rihanna, Kanye West, Alicia Kiis, Mariah Carey, Adele, Swizz Beats, Lady Gaga, Future, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Chance, DC, Mary J. Blige, Nicki Minaj, DRAM, Drake, Solange, J. Cole, (Parkwood artists), and more)
That would ****ing slay in my humble opinion if they could get it to work contractually.

I really dislike JayZ, I really really do, he is the star I hate the most, as a matter of fact that's the first thing people noticed about me when I joined the site. Lately it downed on me that choosing Beyoncé professionally means you also chose Jay.
He is all over her solo career, there is not one single era where she left him at home where he belongs. She has 6 solo albums and he is featured in HALF of her lead singles. If he is not on the lead, then he is in a video or on tour or featured on the making of the tour or the making of the album. Not a single era goes by without him and there are some eras when he is at the same time in the lead, the videos, the tour, the making of the album/tour!
I even paid money to see him on tour because that year, if you wanted to see Beyoncé on tour, you had to see her husband too. So I paid my hard earned money and spent half the time watching the artist that I hate the most perform, knowing that half the money I paid will go to his pockets. It is really funny and pathetic but that's stanning for you.
Some of you here hate Rihanna so bad or Britney Spears, imagine having to endure either one during each Bey's era and a joint tour. Then she makes her best album ever, barely acknowledges it and piggybacks its response to launch a join album with Rihanna/BS. Even if dislike/hatred is not involved, don't you guys feel like it's too much? She is in love, I get it, that's a beautiful thing but why does he always have to be involved? Why is her personal life spilling so much into her professional life?
Not to mention, the biggest issue : he has nothing left in him musically or creatively.
The OTR video/tour was so awful for me and at the time I didn't imagine it could even get worse.
|
What is this analogy? If Beyoncé was married to Rihanna or Britney it would be way different lol.
Why are you guys always doubting her? Like... did you not learn your lessons during the ST wait and before Lemonade? And even if she disappoints you, she's doing her thing now, not catering to fans because if she did she'd be singing Sia lead singles and hopping on boring trends to please the public.

imagine being this pressed, LMAO
y'all are really something else, acting like Jay has attacked you personally or something
it's one thing to not really like an artist's music, but what is the point in dedicating essays and hating them as intensely as this????

I would be here for an album like this sans Rihanna, Alicia, Adele, Gaga, Mary, Nicki, Drake, Parkwood artists. Bey likes unexpected collabs esp. with more indie artists. I wouldn't be surprised if she collabs with FKA Twigs.
Secretly, I'm gunning for that Chance + D'Angelo collab so hard.
