People who say that her success is important to you because it is to her should know that in most cases, your favourite songs don't necessary have to be number one hits, heck most good songs dont even chart. Not all top 10 songs are good songs and not all good songs are top 10.
No! Any more than 3 is pushing it. Because era is remembered by its last single. Just look at BTW era and how y'all thought she flopped (cause MTN did and people expected more than 5 singles) when she had the second highest selling album only behind Adele.

I want the stuff to be aesthetically pleasing. Like bad Romance video or paparazzi. The general crowd doesn't want to see ugly things and over the top fashion.
Bad Romance and Paparazzi were ugly and over the top fashion tbh. Especially the former. People somehow managed to enjoy it because it was something new to the meh pop scene at the time but it wouldn't work now, just like it didn't exactly work with Applause.

Applause's visuals are way messier than BR & PZ. Those two were over the top but they were still minimalistic in a way.. It didn't work with Applause cause it was too parody'd, from the childs face paint to the photoshopped swan head.
