No that shows that he's more popular at the moment. Ariana has more streams and followers on social media than Madonna right now. Does that mean she's more famous? No.

Fame doesn't really go away. Britney is one of the most famous pop stars in the world with the likes of Madonna, Rihanna and Gaga. Who cares if her last album didn't do so well. Even if she stopped releasing in 2007 she would still be way more famous than JT!
