I saw someone say this on GGD and it got me thinking:

September is a great time for radio play and tv shows, though. Everyone is back in school and are through with their vacations and summer off schedule season. People are back on a schedule, so radio play is up during the drive times. Also, people are back to watching morning shows and nighttime shows are coming back to new seasons...including SNL. Also, the Olympics will be over. Post Labor Day is an excellent time to drop a single!
Releasing around late August may not be the best time to get someone's attention, especially in the USA, because school is starting and Labor Day is around that time. Everyone is focused on those two events. I really do think that mid-September may be a better time for the lead single. AHS promo will also be on her side too. The single can drop on Sept 9th right before the AHS premiere and the album can be released on Nov 18th. She can perform Perfect Illusion at the AMAs on Nov 20th which will give it it's final push before peaking. Since single cycles are usually 3 months, the 2nd single can have it's debut performance at the Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve and she can perform it once more the the Grammys to give it it's final push. For the 3rd single, she can have it's debut performance at the iHeart Radio Music Awards and perform it once more at the BBMAs for it's final push, and so on. You see, it's a very good strategy because the first performance introduces people to the song for the first time and the 2nd performance will give the song it's much needed boost towards it final peak position because it's points on BBH100 will already be higher than it was around the first performance anyway. I trust Bobby and Gaga. I believe in them 100% and I'm excited to see how they manage this upcoming era.

As a singles artist, he is bigger than her at the moment, especially in all-important streaming where he's in a different league.
Singles artist? He had one hit based on the success of 1D and intrigue of him being the first solo act from the group, his second single and album flopped and he's been unheard since
I hope this is released on the 9th, and that we get some more album news next week.
Her acting role kind of overshadowed this announcement, but it doesn't really matter. It seems like Gaga and her team are taking the right steps so far to make sure it's a smooth rollout.
