Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz conbfessed to police that the lied about being the victims of an armed robbery said a Brazilian official
The admission came as video emerged of Ryan Lochte and the US swimmers at the gas station where they claimed they were robbed
The group are seen running to the bathroom and sitting off behind the station, spending over 10 minutes at the establishment
Officials in Brazil are now furiously denying Lochte's robbery claims, with one individual saying: 'The only truth they told was they were drunk'
Officials say the swimmers destroyed parts of the gas station on the night they claimed they were robbed by breaking a door, urinating on the wall and causing damage to the bathroom
A security guard then demanded they pay but did not pull out a gun or point it at the swimmers at any point, contradicting Lochte's claims

What do you mean if it was the other way around? Lochte was not allowed to leave Brazil, but by the time the court decided that, he was already back home. The other men were removed from their flights and (rightfully) ordered to stay in the country.

The version of the story the police are telling and that of Lochte's is actually pretty similar, minus the claims of vandalism. They both mention a figure (Lochte says robber, Rio says security guard) that demands money, though for different reasons (Roche says robbery, Rio says compensation).
The truth lies in whether or not they vandalized the store, whether or not the man was actually a security guard, and the reason why they were seen handing money to him. It could also be an issue caused by poor translation. They might have THOUGHT they were robbed if they didn't know he was a security guard demanding money for compensation. We shall see though.
