Ivanka Trump Buys Jewelry; Company Donates Proceeds to Hillary Clinton

Jill Martinelli and Sabine Le Guyader, the designers behind jewelry line Lady Grey, have made it clear that they’re with Hillary — or, at least, they’re more into the ideas that the Democratic presidential nominee and former secretary of state stands for than those of Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, the artisans shared on Instagram that the Republican candidate’s daughter and frequent cohort on the campaign trail, Ivanka Trump, had purchased a piece from their online shop. The post contained an image of a handwritten note informing Ivanka that the proceeds of her purchase were being donated to the American Immigration Council, Everytown for Gun Safety, and the Clinton campaign. The caption of the post read, “Dear @ivankatrump, #thanksbutnothanks #payitFORWARD.”

In an email to the Cut, Martinelli explained, “While we were flattered to receive an order from Ivanka Trump, our social and political views couldn’t be further from those of the Trump campaign. When we received her order, we instantly felt compelled to take the money and donate it to a few organizations that were more aligned with our ideals.”

In a statement shared with Yahoo Style, the Lady Grey duo noted, “We strongly feel that everyone and anyone can make a difference through actively supporting the causes that they believe in, no matter how big or small. We decided to share this letter to make that statement, and hopefully inspire people to follow suit.”

I just watched that interview, CNN's Brianna Keilar was not having any of Mr Cohen.
Here is an excerpt from the interview:

“You say it’s not a shakeup, but you guys are down,” Keilar began.

Cohen cut her off.

“Says who?” he asked.

After a brief pause, Keilar answered.

“Polls, most of them, all of them,” she said

Both Keilar and Cohen were silent for at least three seconds before he repeated his question.

“Says who?” Cohen asked.

“Polls, I just told you. I answered your question,” Keilar said.

She was trying to be nice, but got annoyed by his attitude at the end.

Leaked Email: NC GOP Urged Boards of Elections to Cut Access to Voting for Political Purposes

RALEIGH, N.C. – In a major bombshell Tuesday, an email from North Carolina Republican Party Executive Director Dallas Woodhouse was made public, urging Republican members of boards of elections to vote along party lines to cut early voting days to “support Republican positions.”

The email comes after the Republican voting restrictions bill was thrown out by the courts and declared unconstitutional due to a deliberate intent to discriminate against African-American voters. It appears that the North Carolina Republican Party is running an end-around to make it harder for legal, registered voters to participate in November’s elections.

“This appalling email proves that Governor McCrory and the NCGOP will stop at nothing to disenfranchise voters they disagree with. The court has found that Governor McCrory and his allies sought to intentionally discriminate against voters for political purposes. Now the NCGOP is persisting in this effort knowing full well that it’s against the law. It’s a sad fact that the right to vote is being threatened for so many North Carolinians by their elected leaders,” said NCDP Executive Director Kimberly Reynolds.

The Nation published the email from NCGOP Executive Director Dallas Woodhouse. In it, Woodhouse encourages fellow Republicans to restrict access to voting for political purposes:

“County Board of Elections (BOE) do not have to be unanimous in making early voting changes. Republicans can and should make party line changes to early voting… Our Republican Board members should feel empowered to make legal changes to early voting plans, that are supported by Republicans.

We need to fully support our County BOE members as they make important decisions that follow the law and support republican positions.”

It wasn't the hilarious mess that I thought it was going to be - it was just kind of depressing. I thought she'd try to rally after the media showed her soft science stances, but she just went in circles.

As expected, most of the time was spent talking about Clinton/Trump, and the time that she talked about herself, she repeated the same points and made wide claims without any real plan.

And Ajamu Baraka was a mess. He got cornered about the time he called Barack Obama and Uncle Tom and he stood by his words. What made it even messier was then they asked Jill Stein if she agreed and she had to awkwardly sidestep the issue. They limited his airtime, probably out of respect to Jill.
