Lady Gaga did all that: go #1, win awards, have the biggest selling single worldwide (Poker Face 9.207.000 / Crazy In Love 5.818.000 BTW) and 5th best selling single and her other 2 singles still in the Top 40 best selling singles, have Rolling Stones rave about her, you couldn't escape her on the radio, etc. etc...

The Fame is just a better era, more distinct and it revived pop music, had better selling singles worldwide, and it's just a better more finished album... B'Day owns though ;-)

Stop darhing me. I know what it did and didn't do. But the album is so relatively new so I don't think decade end lists were keen on putting her on it. There were barely any 09 albums/songs on decade end lists.

And if it did so well on the Hot 100 how come Poker Face out sold it?
