That tweet could mean like Friday at midnight, so basically tmrw night. That + the fact the song is called Perfect Illusion and the release DAY wasn't made clear...
I'm really starting to believe that the song is coming this Friday, and that Gaga and her team are saying September to throw us off and be the "Perfect Illusion".... also they would've most likely provided the day in September too, it's not like it's a few months away, it's next month.
Why start radio interviews/promo now if the song could be released at any time during September? Usually radio stuff is orchestrated a day or so before the song's release.
Also, this Friday is August 19th. Which is the day that Applause was originally supposed to be released. Second times the charm? Also, it's a week before the VMAs so it'll give the song a week to grow before promo (hopefully).
Idk this is just mere speculation, but I'm definitely praying.
