So people have been mentioning that the color scheme gives them strong "The Fame" teas (one of my non stan friends included), and I think that has everything to do with the title. People still put The Fame on a sort of pedestal as some sort of "perfect" album and era for her, but we as stans know that there was a whole bunch of **** that happened during it (the potential rape by Fusari when making the album, all the drugs she was on, the anorexia/bulimia, etc.), so maybe she's playing with that idea that stars at their "best" are often actually at their worst, but we as the fans and the GP are often none the wiser because of the image said star maintains by keeping up these unhealthy habits, thus the "Perfect Illusion". I don't know it's just a thought I had.

It would've been for sure if she had just dropped it or announced it for 19 august... it's quite a long time between the announcement and single tbh, though it might still be released sooner

But hey Gaga could have released songs the whole year, but no she took her sweet time....so it's her problem if Katy releases within the same week.

I don't really care personally, Katy releasing doesn't affect me being excited for new Gaga music
And maybe I end up liking both songs
