Then you can't really use the examples of Regi, Latios or Dragonites as proof if that season was a reboot. The reality is that plot device is what makes Pikachu so powerful over the course of a season and what makes Ash an embarrassment.
It was MEANT to be a reboot I didn't mean that it was. And Satoshi's Pikachu has always been an "special" pokemon which is why TR is after it.
