No, it's not as if Christina's shade throwing was what made everyone pay attention / notice / download Lady GaGa's material. 
Saying something like that is SUPER STAN. Now come on. The hermaphrodite rumors garnered WAY more publicity than something Christina said.
Hell, people outside of boards like these probably never even knew Christina said something like that about GaGa.

Lmaaaaooo are you kidding? It was covered on every major entertainment channel in US...E! Entertainment weekly...all the gossip magazines. Gaga got alot of attention because of Christina and thats a fact, Why deny it?

I'm not denying that she DIDN'T get publicity, but you're acting as if this was one of the biggest news stories of that year.
And plus you said that she was a complete nobody before Christina said that which is completely false.
I'm a huge Christina fan, but I'm not so delusional to think that she jump starts people's careers  Did it garner some publicity, yes? But not as much publicity as you are trying to lead people to believe. People MIGHT have cared about that news story for one day.
Every major entertainment channel in the U.S.? E! is the only one! And as if gossip magazines count, hell, the rumors that are always in those.

But why are you denying that this story helped Gaga get her foot in the door? It brought Gaga alot of attention and brought her name into the light. The Media made a big deal of this "Gaga VS Christina" feud. Gaga is as huge as she is because of Gaga, but you cant deny that all the publicity that Gaga recieved thanks to Christina helped get her name out there. Do you really think its a coincidence that right after Christina made those comments and was accused of copying Gaga, her single blew up on charts?

Right after she blew up in other countries like Canada & Australia which are often ahead of America in music, then she blew up in America.
Your need to ask for receipts on the fact that GaGa was already big in some countries shows that you don't really understand what you're talking about, instead you just went along with the Christina-Stan mentality that Christina gave GaGa a career.

Bringing GaGa's name into the light and "jump starting her career" are two completely different things, sir.
Any publicity is good publicity, but Christina name checking GaGa didn't do anything for GaGa's career except by maybe making people believe that she's a dude. That's it. Quit acting like Christina is King Midas and touched GaGa and made her turn to gold.
GaGa's got #1 records because she's talented and has true determination and work ethic. Not because Christina name checked her. That's all I'm saying man.. get it together.

'Iamamiwhoami': Is Swedish Singer Jonna Lee Behind Viral Campaign?
Her management denies involvement, but some eagle-eyed fans beg to differ.
Back in January, amid much speculation to the contrary, a rep for Christina Aguilera denied that her client had anything to do with the ongoing "Iamamiwhoami" viral campaign, telling MTV News: "It's 100 percent not her ... not sure why people think it is."
And yet, despite that denial (and a second one issued just last week), Aguilera's name kept being mentioned in connection with the maddeningly complex campaign, even as mysterious packages were sent to MTV News and more and more Iamami videos were released.
But on Sunday, with the debut of the seventh Iamami clip, all that speculation may finally be over. We might finally know the person responsible for the engrossing (and pretty gross) viral campaign: Jonna Lee, a singer/songwriter from Sweden.
In a lengthy post on celebrity-obsessed LiveJournal community Oh No They Didn't, a pair of keen-eyed readers noticed the similarities between Lee and the muck-smeared heroine of the Iamami video series — the nose, the teeth, the eyes — similarities no amount of masking tape (which our heroine covered herself in for the latest vid) could hide. Also strangely similar is an electric organ seen in the new video, which also makes an appearance in a "making of" clip for Lee's latest album, and Lee's backing musicians, who look very much like the guys featured in the newest Iamami video.
And given all those similarities, it seemed like the mystery was finally solved. Only, perhaps it isn't. Because Lee's music only bears a passing resemblance to the ethereal, downright eerie electronic stuff being unveiled in the viral videos (her latest single, "Something So Quiet," is perhaps the closest match). And, according to her management, she has nothing to do with Iamami.
"If Jonna is involved in this, we have no knowledge of such," Jamie Jaffe, who works for Lee's North American management team, Philadelphonic, told MTV News in an e-mail Monday (March 15). "The only upcoming projects we are aware of are the development of her third album and her upcoming SXSW performances."
Then again, from the sound of things, Lee is working on a new album, and MTV News' e-mails to her Swedish label, Razzia, seeking comment were not returned. So there's still nothing official to report. But for the first time since the Iamami campaign began in December, we might actually be getting close to figuring this whole thing out.

xtina saied bad things about gaga but gaga didn't reply so there weren't a fight
plus gossip sites talked about this fight as they did with the hermie rumors
so blame sites for making gaga popular in usa
in the rest of world she was already famous
