I'm kind of sad she isn't doing the super bowl. I think it was probably too much work or her nerves rather than her not being "entertaining/dancey" enough. Because look how she reacted and then delivered when people said she was too boring to do Glasto. She knows how popular she is in the US that good vocals, a few fireworks and a few guests would be entertaining enough. But even so, it is a massive amount of pressure and planning so I see why she said no.

I was okay with her declining the Super Bowl at first but now that I think about it I'm kind of sad. Adele didn't decline the Super Bowl just because she doesn't dance, I've followed Adele long enough to know that's BS. She declined it because of nerves and how huge the show is IMO. That's what makes me sad. I know it's a lot of pressure to do the Super Bowl but I truely believe that she can pull it off. Adele didn't want to do Skyfall or Glastonbury because they were out of her comfort zone. Once she did end up doing them, they ended up being flawless and critically acclaimed. I see no reason why the Super Bowl couldn't end with the same result. It would also introducing her to parts of the American demographic that she otherwise doesn't reach, and probably never will reach by other means.
However, I'm not discarding the possibility that she might be bluffing and/or waiting for another year because it takes a lot of work and she might not have time with both the Grammys and a tour. I feel like most big acts do the Super Bowl when they aren't in an active era.
After all, she's going to do a dance album next time around.

We know Adele has previously denied things only to be bluffing. But I believe her this time. I'm okay with it (though tbh I'm kinda disappointed) but if she does change her mind I'm here for it.
If she was still considering doing the halftime show she wouldn't have brought it up.

If Adele ventures a dance song, I want it to sound like in the veins of Cher's "Believe" & "Song for the Lonely"  it suits her the best

I really hope she's bluffing because I'd love to see her do the Super Bowl, but I feel like she's not.
Also... When she said her next album would be a "dance album" and didn't laugh afterwards, I was like, "  ," but it's Adele, so she's not going to do full-on dance if she was even remotely serious. I'd be here for her doing more stuff like "Water Under the Bridge," though.

She only mentioned her weight because people were being extra about it to the point of starting rumors that she's pregnant. She started out more fit and then was heavier toward the end of the UK shows, got more into working out and lost weight in the EU, and now is living it up in the US so she's heavier again right now. She's said before she's gone up and down her whole life and that's the truth. What matters is that she's still plenty healthy and is currently (finally, after so many issues in years past) having a blast on tour. Let fluctuations in her weight be the non-issue that it is.

In regards to the Super Bowl, I believe her in that she was offered but turned it down.
Nerves or not, she's right about how it's more of a spectacle-type show than she's typically about. Glasto is massive, but ultimately it's still very music-centric. Doesn't mean she can't decide to do it later on, I don't see the offer drying up any time soon. About the dance album, it sounded more joking to me (like in reference to her not dancing at the Super Bowl), but if she's serious and just means she's going for a more upbeat sound like we've discussed in here previously, I'm here for it.

I thought she might be bluffing too, but seeing her say it on video she seemed genuine and said "declined" which is kind of firm. I guess she could always "change her mind". I wonder who leaked it to the press, if it was the Super Bowl people trying to convince her to change her mind. I mean her side doesn't leak, unless it was a test to see how people reacted. But if she was ever going to do it I think it would have been now. She's in peak performing condition and it's kind of her year of doing all these challenges. I don't see her doing the Superbowl at in a few years at 30 or 35, I think she'd see herself as too "old" and take less risks. Oh well, it's still an honor to be asked.

I disagree about the age thing. Beyoncé did it first and 31 and this year at 34. Tons of actually "old" artists/bands have done it. If she decides she wants to do it, age won't become a consideration for some time yet.
