Love in the Dark is just so good. It deserves every award there is.
+ also Can't Let Go... Thank god it's not on the standard edition. It would've been TOO DARK.

I was half ass watching the olympics about to fall asleep and then they started playing Rolling in the Deep. All the sudden my mind became super alert and suddenly cared about sports because the queens music started playing.

To those who've already seen Adele live this year, are there separate lines to get in for pre-sale and general sale? Or are they the same? If someone got tickets on both pre-sale and general sale for the same show, would it be a problem, or would he all of his tickets at the same time in line?
Also what time do you guys recommend to get there in time?

So no one's gonna answer my question? maybe I'm worrying too much.

I just realized 25 has 28 engineers and that's on top of 3 mixers, 2 mastering engineers, and 11 producers.
And all this time I've been saying Lemonade has too many people attached to it to win AOTY

^Well, considering the music sampling, Lemonade has like a 100+ people credited. But really, who cares?

I know, it doesn't bother me or anything. It's just that by my own logic 25 isn't winning either. Though maybe the Grammys don't care about engineers and care more about the amount of songwriters, which in case 25 has a fair amount, and Lemonade has too many for the Grammy's standards.
Grammys are so hard to predict though so who knows.

Besides engineers, 25 has a similar amount of producers no?
Also I just got an email where I can pre order Adele merch and pick it up Maybe I should do this? Not sure... can't pre order lithograph posters and some other stuff though it seems

I was wondering the same thing, OneAndOnly. Do people who got tickets in presale just go to willcall and show their credit cards?
And I don't see why having more engineers would be a problem. The Grammys are very unpredictable, but I don't think they really care about the number of engineers. But I still cannot comprehend how on Earth Beyoncé can recruit so many songwriters for one song. How do that many people even write one song together?
And I got that email, too, Ichi. I think I'm just going to wait and buy everything there, because I'm getting a tour book, notebook, lithograph, wristband, and bag (and pencils if they still sell them). As it is, I spent $70 to have the keyring and two mugs shipped to my house (it was worth it, though). And my T-shirt just came today! Honestly, just get one ahead of time. There's one site (if anyone is interested, I can find the link) that uses the official 25 font and does like, custom shirts with the song names on it. I know there were shirts for "Hello," "When We Were Young," and "Send My Love."

Ahh, I love this topic. Beyoncé listens to several songs. She'll then piece lines from different songs together, whilst also adding her own lyrics as well to the song. That's not made up, this is coming from the people who have written for her, including Sia. One of her valued collaborators spoke of how she took a part of her song and wrote the middle by herself. Read the quote from Wynter Gordon below:
Quote:
“Beyoncé is a scientist of songs. I’ve never seen anyone work the way she works,” Gordon says, echoing what Mike Will recently said. “She definitely changes the song structures. She can take two songs, say, ‘I like two lines, I like the melody then let me use that for a verse and a bridge and write the whole middle.’ It’s more of a collaboration.

The idea that Lemonade won't win AOTY because of how many producers or songwriters it has is so incredulously futile. Many albums in the past have won with many producers and songwriters, and it doesn't make Lemonade any less of an accomplishment. In fact, it merely proves her artistry by the means of collaboration and amalgamation. People also seem to forget that she did produce Daddy Lessons all by herself, so if your point is that she can't produce a good record, you're wrong.
Beyoncé's never going to be a person who plays all the instruments on a record, writes every single word, and produces every single song. She values collaborative ideas and teamwork too highly. If you're going to use that against her, I pity you. As it happens, neither is Adele.
Dorian Lynskey sums it up better than I ever could:
Quote:
Hybridisation is the lifeblood of popular music. It’s rare, however, to find an artist in such complete command of that process, merging several musical streams in ways that feel both natural and surprising, never once losing sight of the big picture. On Lemonade you can hear James Blake followed by Kendrick Lamar, or a line from Animal Collective not far from a John Lomax field recording of black prisoners in 1940s Mississippi, and all those different voices are united through Beyoncé’s own. Whoever wrote a particular melody or chose a particular sample, it’s her formidable presence alone that holds the album – and the film – together.

Also, this article: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/fe...rpice-20160428
It really provides an insight into her creative process.
To sum up: People really need to stop trying to discredit Bey.

Bey Admired I agree with you. However, the reason why people take into account the number of songwriters/producers (especially songwriter) is because it in fact does matter to the Grammys. It's not futile, it's the reality. It's not a secret and it's not a myth; Billboard, the most reliable publication in the music industry, even admits that the Grammys don't like when too many songwriters are used. It's the reason why hip-hop albums almost never win AOTY, and haven't won in recent years. It's unfortunate but it's true.

Not really true. At the end of the day, it's their peers who vote. The reason hip-hop albums never win is because of rock and country artists who don't respect the artistry of hip-hop, etc. There's a reason Taylor Swift won over Kendrick Lamar, and it's not because of songwriters.

I have to agree with Bey. The amount of songwriters is not the only thing that affects where votes go

And the reason why many don't respect the artistry of hip-hop is because of the inherit usage of samples in hip-hop, which results to more credits, which for some reason is looked down upon and viewed as less of a songwriting accomplishment (btw I think that's ********).
In the end I do agree with you, and maybe I am exaggerating a bit the impact of the number of songwriters it will have to the Grammys.
