Indeed... There's a lot wrong with Hillary. Just because she's better than Trump doesn't mean she's a GOOD choice for America.

Like do you realize we wouldn't be talking about it if he didn't SAY it
|
How is that typical of Democrats when their convention was focused on issues and patriotism and their convention was focused on imprisoning Hillary Clinton?

You mean like how BL ignored every post that countered his flaky arguments?
Sure he has gone points but many people addressed them. He just didn't quote them/ignored them

BlueTimberwolf, Hey Gurl Hey, hairofglory, Beautiful Liar, bleuwaffle, or any other Trump sympathizers or full-time Hillary Clinton haters, what the hell are y'all trying to accomplish here? We just had a presidential nomination joke/hint/insinuate that people can assassinate the president in exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. Do not try to say, "It's a joke, it's no big deal" or "You're reading too far into it". That is exactly what he said. He was talking about the theoretical scenario of if she's elected and how the judges she would pick would somehow overturn the 2nd Amendment even though Hillary Clinton has BLUNTLY said that she is not even wanting to see that happen.
Also, do NOT try to deflect the severity and disgusting implications of this latest idiotic flop of Trump by trying to attack Hillary Clinton's candidacy. Hillary Clinton is a flawed candidate. We all ****ing know that. We are all ****ing aware of that. You think you're going to bring up an issue that Bernie supporters failed to bring up throughout the entire primaries and before it? No. Bernie supporters were thorough and they vetted Hillary Clinton well enough and we know all the flaws of her candidacy and all the conspiracy attacks that have no credibility. That is NOT a proper or appropriate way to address the fact that Donald Trump has hinted at assassination of the then elected president as fair game for "2nd Amendment people" to do.
Do not deflect this. Do not subtract from it. What Donald Trump did (along with the invitation for Russia to hack government documents to harm Hillary Clinton's candidacy) is treason. Nothing less of it. It's also disgusting. This man said that this country should not be about violence in his speech at his convention and then a week later says he wanted to punch speakers at the Democratic Convention and now he is hinting at the necessity for Hillary Clinton to be assassinated if elected.
Own it. Acknowledge it. Do not defend this act of obscenity by bringing up Hillary Clinton's issues. If Hillary Clinton calls for Donald Trump's (or anyone's) assassination, then we can talk about it.
But, back to my original question, what the hell are y'all trying to accomplish here? You're trying to defend Trump by attacking Hillary. Why? Are you trying to sway us to vote for Donald Trump? If that's your goal, then please provide a SINGLE good, solid, credible reason to support the man that is solely based on his candidacy, and not Hillary Clinton's.
I challenge you to provide a single positive thing behind Donald Trump's candidacy and potential for presidency.
"Corruption" is not a credible argument, seeing as how Donald Trump is blatantly and provably corrupt.
I will patiently be waiting.

Y'all should really think about where Hillary's money comes from and why they chose her (going back to BL's post on her Islamic nations donations), how she'll affect our nation's foreign policy, etc.
I know she's a far better choice than Trump - but she is NOT perfect and we need to stop pretending as such. Bleu has said that he doesn't like Trump so don't assume that he's posting in here to be "YAY TRUMP! DOWN WITH HILLARY!" It's to give another perspective and to question the leader that y'all (and the Dems) have chosen... There is a lot wrong with her (just as there is a lot right with her, but we don't have to argue what's right with her because y'all are so biased anyways towards her) and we should recognize that.

For someone who's supposedly such a "straight talker" Trump's statements sure require a lot of nuanced interpretation from the Trumpkin brigade.

What is this big liberal meltdown? This is the election thread, not a Hillary Clinton base and if we want to we can keep pointing her flaws out until the election night. That's the purpose of this thread so don't tell people what they can do here because 'Bernie Bros did it before you'. And no matter how you interpret it, it was just a stupid joke. He already made many of them and he'll probably make many more.

No candidate is!! You shouldn't expect a candidate to be perfect. Hillary, Johnson, Bernie, Trump, Jill, Jeb, Fiorina, Rubio, Kasich, Cruz, none of them are perfect. Perfection is not what I or any other Hillary Clinton supporter is looking for. We are not voting for her because we think she's a perfect candidate. I don't see how bringing this up is an intelligent discussion. It's a given.

A former chief of the NSA and CIA already said had anyone else said they would've been called it for questioning. This is too much

That's not an excuse for what he did.
Not once did I pretend that this is a Hillary Clinton base. I will happily discuss current events in the political world that aren't related to Hillary Clinton. CURRENTLY in the news, Donald Trump hinted at the need to assassinate his political rival. I'm, quite frankly, appalled that people think that attacking Hillary Clinton is a reasonable defense to Donald Trump's idiotic comments. I don't understand how me focusing on Trump and how people are poorly brushing over it like it's no big deal insinuates that I think this is a Hillary Clinton base.
Criticizing Trump is not a pro-Hillary thing. It's entirely a Trump thing.
But, I'm still waiting on that good reason to support Trump.

I'm not stalking this thread so idk about his ignoring of posts - but regardless, he does make valid points quite often and I find it a little ridiculous that someone just wrote a damn essay attacking him/Bleu/etc. for attacking Hillary when most of them don't even like Trump
Idk man, there's always multiple sides to every argument and I just feel like a lot of the dems on this website truly don't understand that. Trump is a separate beast from conservatism/Republicans in general and a lot of people here don't make that separation. We gotta keep in mind he won by a plurality, not a majority and that most GOP members don't share his views at all.

And how exactly does attacking / flat out ignoring legitimate Clinton criticism make for intelligent discussion?

It's not about attacking Hillary. It's about attacking Hillary as a way to defend Trump for hinting at the assassination of his political opponent if elected. If you have a valid criticism towards Hillary, awesome! If you're using it to defend a death threat and brush over said threat using that criticism, then that's another issue.

This is another thing that the few Trump fans need to understand. While nearly all of the people criticizing Trump here ARE Hillary fans, there are more than enough reasons to criticize Trump without being pro-Hillary at all.
