No, you need to learn to objectively judge music like I do. All these reviewers are extremely influenced by each other, and the scores are usually affected by way too many factors for them to be taken into consideration.

If you hold the critics opinions in high regard then you're still giving into subjective preference. It's probably even more subjective & biased because most of the critics are retired 40-60 year-old white male journalists. You can tell. If you look closely at the most acclaimed albums & the preferred gender on metacritic.

If an album is completely panned and has below 30 tho - it should be taken into consideration. Critics can only give you so much. And people who like albums bc of their metacritic score are missing out on some amazing album's (especially a lot of female pop).
