People saying voter ID laws don't disenfranchise people yet ignoring trans folks.
It's like people don't understand, even in those most obvious cases, how systems intersect. If you're poor and trans, you're expected to get a physician's "confirmation" you're trans, which again, relies on access to doctors, medical insurance, etc. in some states to get your gender on a license changed. A doctor you don't see or don't pay isn't going to just let you walk into their office and help you.
Some states even require you to have your birth certificate changed first for your driver's license to be changed, yet some states don't allow birth certificates to be changed. If you're from a place like Ohio yet living in Kentucky, you basically have to accept having an ID that misgenders you (which doesn't entail all the harassment and issues that come from presenting as a gender different than on one's ID, how some people who even work in places that give out licenses will refuse to let you get one if you're not "presenting" as the gender you're putting down) or have no ID at all, yet people say "there's no valid reason to not have an ID"?
Add on the issue becomes more nuanced when it intersects with racism. People not even caring anymore in here how they come off as bigots supporting the active discrimination of folks.
