No, it means someone else gets the spot, which could be disastrous for either or both party. Bad for the GOP because they have to scramble to get the new pick's name out there, but bad for the Dems because they have less time to knock the person out. Plus, if they pick someone semi-competent, the Dems can't take the easy "he's unfit for x, y, z" reasons like they've done with Trump.

The lingering release of whatever was uncovered in the Clinton campaign hack is what worries me moving forward. I cannot see Trump besting her in the debates.

There aren't enough days, campaign-wise, to make up for replacing Trump. They wouldn't be able to fundraise, wouldn't be able to correct course with one month, wouldn't have any ads set. That would be historically bad for the GOP. Because then you would also have Trump even further demolishing the party and it would incite his insane base.

I think if it's ends up being proven that Melania Trump lied about her VISA and was here illegally up to the point she married Trump that would be the final nail in Trumps campaign since his campaign was built on being anti Immigration

Kasich will be heralded for his opposition to Trump, and conviction of his principals. Plus the GOP will make sure to "snuff out" any meddlesome candidate that gets in Kasich's way on his path to the nomination...much like the Dems did for Hillary this year.

If I recall Kasich's opinion correctly, it's that he thinks the American public should accept the ruling as it stands. That doesn't make him pro-LGBT. That being said, he is a responsible republican and I don't think he's homophobic or anything.
