I wish Tennessee could be a swing state again. Bill Clinton won TN in 1992 and 1996 when both Virginia and North Carolina were red. It's crazy how they reversed in two decades.

It's just slightly annoying to feel like your Presidential vote has less value when you're politically engaged. Nashville and Memphis are basically blue islands in the deep red sea.

"It's the economy stupid!" That's why George Bush lost. He was a foreign policy president. He didn't focus on the economy and other domestic issues.

And the parties were going through a crisis then. Hillary needs to unite the progressives/centrists of the Dem, and get those white working class voters working again. That's how she wins. Plus the map already favors Dem so it's not a "oh we aren't getting 4 Dem terms in a row" because history says so.

Biggest investment in infrastructure and comprehensive immigration reform will be what her administration did best. She'll be most remembered for Equal Pay tho.

Like Obama saved the economy and made tons of social progress, but Obamacare was his signature legislation.

I'm sure I will cry on November 8th. I'm not a big crier in general, but I was a puddle of tears when Obama was elected. It was easily one of the most memorable moments of my life. I can remember the details of that day almost as well as the day of 9/11.

Clinton not only went up, but Trump went down. Clinton now has a 48-33 lead, a huge turnaround from her narrow 42-39 advantage last month.

Among poll respondents, Clinton was seen more often as a potential president. Fifty-three percent said they would find her acceptable; 39 percent felt that way about Trump.

In a four way race, Clinton retains her lead. She gets 45 percent to Trump’s 31 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson has 10 percent and the Green Party’s Jill Stein has 6 percent.

The biggest things taken from these polls are that:

1) Hillary unified the party.
2) Her unfavorable/favorable numbers are basically tied. She's polarizing as should be. Trump is just a fly you can't kill.
3) She is getting more Republicans than he is getting Democrats.
4) Tim Kaine is viewed as a good man and VP nominee. Pence not so much

The DNC was massive. If Clinton wins this election in a landslide and brings Congress along with her, this DNC will be remembered as the most successful in history.

Rising approval ratings for Hillary (neutral or even above water in some polls), big poll boost, Khan controversy, GOP meltdown.

Hillary needs to bring her A-game in the debates. Jill Stein needs to go away. And Gary needs those endorsements from Bush and Romney so he can take away votes from Trump in Arizona and Utah and maybe Georgia.

Time for that Dem resurgence. Bill in '92 & '96 repeat.

Time is ticking. The Olympics will take much attention this entire month. Hillary is buying millions worth in ads, and Trump is of course spending nothing so far. Then it's September when the 1st debate is. Then October are the others, and Hillary will have all the big names campaigning every single day.

Trump has to really change things like yesterday to catch up during this last lap.
