The map is so wild when you go back a little further. Bill carried a lot of red states that could probably never turn blue again. Can't believe California was once red. Texas was blue at a certain point too. wow

A lot of the older blue dog Democrats in the South are now Republicans. I would be interested to see the numbers on how many of them left when President Obama got elected. Democrats now only seem to do well in the Southern states with a high number of minorities.
