I need some advice, y'all!
I've been wanting to start going to the gym for a while and soon my exams are over so I think it's time!
I'm kinda skinny but I have a bit of fat here and there (butt and stomach) and I want to gain muscle. What exercises do you recommend? Diets? Etc?
Forgot to say that recently I've been losing a lot of weight due to work and it's getting ugly.

Hey guys. I started gym about two weeks ago and tomorrow will be my third week. I'm 5'7 and 123.459 lbs and I'm aiming to gain bit of fat and muscle muscle. mass. My workout routine goes like this: Monday chest. I warm up for 10 minutes on the treadmill then do 5 workouts related to chest and each according to a set. Tuesday shoulders. 10 minutes warm out and I do 5 workouts related to the shoulders muscle, so each day I target a muscle. I have been trying to eat as much as I can and I typically don't eat junk but I eat snacks, but my biggest problem is I'm not capable of lifting heavy weights and it feels awful but at times I'm doing more reps. So, the thing is what should I do to gain more muscle mass and lift more weight ? Btw, I'm not taking any protein shakes or supplements so far. Also, should I change my workout plan or ?

When do you usually weigh yourself? After you wake up or something? I tried to track my weight, the day I stepped on the scale I would gain, the next day, I would lost like 2kg. Like what is the truth.

Tracking weight can be tricky because it varies greatly depending on hydration, sodium levels, bowel movements, etc.

I'm planning to start working out next year. I hope I'll be able to do it.
I'm thinking of taking diet (getting myself thin/slim) then start going to gym.

Hi guys.
Do you have any recommendations where to find healthy recipes for free? A diet plan would also be much appreciated. I'm a college student and basically, I live on junk foods. I think that's one of the reasons that I always feel tired and sh*tty. I really enjoy cooking and I want to start eating healthy to make up for the lack of physical activities.

I cook every single meal at home, and honestly, I never really looked up recipes, but there is a subreddit that has great suggestions on how to eat great on a budget, especially with you being a student! Start with Reddit, most people there are super helpful if you ask questions!
I just started with items I knew I loved, like quinoa, avocado, chicken, fish, and added ingredients and stuff. I know that's probably not feasible
It's pretty easy to eat healthy and cheap, just gotta be thrifty and creative.

That's good to hear. Honestly, everytime I try to be creative, my dish would end up tasting horrible. That's why I decided to rely on recipes first until I figure out what to cook with what and what doesn't go together. I'll try to go to Reddit and search there. Thanks for your help!

Let me know if you can't find a subreddit for it. I have a few bookmarked on my home laptop, I can send them your way when I get home tonight!
(I'm all for helping people with this! )

These pics are nine months apart -- the left was October 2015 and the right is now. I've never been this inspired to keep going. Still a bit of a way to go, but the progress is definitely being made. Go me!

🔱July 2016🔱
1st week: 172lbs
2nd week: 172lbs
3rd week: 171lbs
4th week: 171lbs
I up'd my calories to 2,250.
Instead of losing 1 lb per week, I decided to just lose half a pound per week

Has anyone tried intermittent fasting? I'm thinking of fasting 16 hours and having a 8 hour eating window.

Have been successful this weekend - have eaten the same thing for lunch and dinner this week.
Steamed broccoli with paprika and a little cheese sprinkled over top, and chicken that I just cook in a fry pan with a little oil (I know the cheese and oil isn't flawless, but let me live) and I sprinkle rosemary over top.
I ran out of chicken so used a can of salmon instead yesterday for lunch, and it was all good.
Anyway have worked out every day this week, boxing on Monday, a plyometric class on Tuesday (lots of jumping and rapid movements) and a cardio class (push-ups / sprints / burpees) yesterday so all and all a good week.
