I didn't use a starter in Black 2 because I wanted to use a Steel monotype and it was actually pretty fun, so I might do something similar for this game

Something I'd love to see in Sun/Moon would be the ability to have a specific team and make your character a special type of person (psychic / swimmer / etc. - the type you encounter in the games). I don't know how it could be achieved, but it just seems so fun being a gym leader with a specific, well-organised team of pokemon with a general theme regarding their types, rather than all different types (which I understand is needed for actually succeeding in battles)

People don't only use NFE Pokémon on Smogon. Purrloin is a staple on many of my teams and she can keep up with the best of them. This is also a mechanic in the game that I'm certain will be used before you'd have a team full of fully evolved mons. I don't see how giving every Pokémon access to moves like this could not be preferred over very few mega evolutions (which I'm sure will still be added).

I've always wanted to use an exeggutor on my in game run and now I have more incentive to do so! I love it's design it's so campy and ridiculous! It'll be fun to use, I'm sure. None of the new pokemon have really made me want to use them in an in game team except maybe wimpod since I saw a rumour that it's basically the magikarp>Gyrados of the region so I'm curious to see how that'll look.

Also I'm wondering about the role of the box legendaries in the game. So far they seem kind of...pointless. And The only hint at an in-game narrative has been Lillie being touted as being "important" to the "Story" which we know nothing about. And the only thing we've seen that's suspect about her is that she has something alive in her bag. Wonder what it could be? Zygarde core? Eternal Floette? They did say this region would be big on FLOWERS and so far...did they just say flowers since leighs are made of flowers and that was the hint at hawaii?!?

Anyway I hope they drop some story tidbits soon. Or not, might be fun to discover it on my own.
