I like the 3-year undergrad system they have over in the UK. And 1-year Masters programs. But to be fair, most people stay in college for years cuz they keep switching majors, flunk a bunch of classes, have to resit them etc etc
And yeah Sociology/Psychology/Anthropology/Literature majors get no sympathy from me. Drown in debt!

One of my friends got a BA in Sociology + a Masters in the same. Now he's a gym instructor. He should've just stayed in bed for 5 yrs, at least he'd be debt free

Mine is worse than that and I went to public school, too.
My state also has this problem with the public university system where this one big university gets MAJOR funding from the state—more than the other ~20 public unis combined. It's awful.

Yeah, General Studies is a pretty useless major. I don't think I have ever seen a job wanting a person with a background in General Studies.

He/she must have sucked or hasn't really tried. There are enough jobs for people with MAs and PhDs in social studies. Or maybe he/she doesn't want to teach?

I just hope that all these mistakes that he's making (attacking that soldier's family, dissing our military, his beef with both McCain and Ryan, saying that Hillary is "the devil", his surrogates having meltdowns, etc., etc.) continue to send his campaign directly to hell.
To this day I simply cannot fathom what goes through the mind of a Trump supporter.

I'm glad everyone in here seems to agree that healthcare should be public. Americans pay a ridiculous amount of money for treatments/medications etc. primarily because it's such a private healthcare system and you don't have a government organisation that can negotiate extremely cheap deals for pharmaceuticals - which astounds me by the way, as if you did your country would have incredible negotiating power due to your size. It just makes sense to be public as you can make healthcare so much cheaper and affordable for everyone compared to a private system. More on that here if you're interested.

Going along with that, I think that we're also reaching a point where it's like... Trump is so awful that you kinda can't help but question the morality / intelligence of his supporters... which can be really stressful if you've got Trumpsters in your family, neighborhood, workplace, social circle...
