Pokémon Go - Gym rewards: How to get PokeCoins for free

Battling in Gyms will give you XP points - 50XP for sparring in a friendly gym, and 150XP for a battle in a rival Gym - making it not a decent way to earn experience.

But placing a Pokémon in your inventory at a gym to defend it, you will then be rewarded 10 PokéCoins and 500 Stardust every 21 or so hours, which can be claimed from the Shop menu - providing your Pokemon hasn't been knocked out of that gym.

You can store up to 10 Pokemon at gyms at any one time, and you'll get them back if and when they are removed.

Not getting XP for nice, great, or excellent throws either.
I do however still get "curveball" points and I got a weird 100 XP bonus once for catching a Rattata.

Nope! They disabled that in 1.1.0, because of course they did. Those massive 20 XP bonuses obvs created a huge level-up exploit.

They'll probably disable Pidgey stacking next.

20 XP isn't very effective, but I don't mind getting it. 100 XP for an excellent throw was a great amount tho.

Oh wow, just saw this on Trainer Tips YouTube channel, www.pokeadvisor.com allows you to see the exact IV spread of your Pokémon - not just estimated percentages, the precise percentage and the literal stat spread (out of 15/15/15). Had anyone tried this yet? I'm about to, but lowkey scared it might be tracked to my account and I'll get banned

My Guarados is a flop too! A friend of mine told me that his 12CP magikarp turned into a 1600CP Guarados. Mine was 125CP and I was expecting at least 1800CP, I got 1260CP instead FLOP

My Gyarados has good cp (1900ish), but the moves are just so useless. Blastoise is my current water MVP.

good developments today: hatched an 1197 CP Aerodactyl, and I only need 7 more dratinis to get a high iv/cp dragonite. Managed to find a consistent spawn point around my workplace, tho it's only 1 every hour or so. Still no Snorlax hatched or found.

I use it every day (and know some others in here use it) and I haven't been banned
