There is a 2-stage cat Pokemon that is normal when captured in the wild, but it will inherit the father's primary type as it's 2nd type when hatched; the color/pattern varies by type (think Vivillion).
Oh this was among the leak that talked about variations, the bird, Yungoose's evo.
Hopefully it has nice stats
I wonder tho. The rumor said Ninetales is Fire/ Fairy. Seems weird to get this wrong.
Did they mix false information into it (same happened for XY) or is normal Ninetales Fire/ Fairy now

Reading through the website and the trial thing seems way more interesting and memorable than simple gyms.

Interesting point. It very could be. They did the same for Azumarill, Togekiss, Garde, Granbull and the like.
OMG I was catching up to this thread, this is sooooo much to take in!
I thought the different forms for old Pokémon would be kinda lame, but I loved all of them! Ninetails Ice Form is beautiful and majestic :')
The fact that we're not getting gyms anymore is weird, but refreshing in a way. I'm excited, I hope they can make the progression through the game fun, with these 'trials'... Those Z moves or wtv, is what I'm not too excited about, but their animations looks really impressive.
The new dancing bird Pokémon and praying mantis are sweeeeeet! And I haven't seen any love for the little meteorite pokémon but I like it and I think it might be Lunatone's and Solrock's pre-evo :O
