i still compare kpop groups to some american ones if im explaining it to someone lol
not by their music tho, but by their status as of now/growth/success/etc.
@moonlight im not sure if anyone knows why but do you know why in Ooh Ahh and other songs I've heard they go from korean / japanese then do some english verses or bridges?
The bridge before the final chorus in Ooh Ahh is in english, why?

Also @moonlight I have a question in the Cheer Up video when one of the girls are on a phone where it looks like a horror movie, is that an homage to Drew Barrymore's scene in Scream? it looks similar
It is! Every different scene / filter is inspired by a different movie/show eg. Scream, Sailor Moon, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Brokeback Mountain etc.

Ik you didn't ask me but I'm just gonna jump in here. English is just a part of k-pop. It's incorporated into most songs, as you'll hear once you listen to different artists. It's just how it is, and the main cause is because k-pop takes extreme influence from Western music. The Korean music industry is a fairly """new""" one since South Korea is fairly new as a first world country, so it took a lot of influence from the most successful music market at the time when it was developing which was the US.

Oh yeah, it happens. The Korean label notorious for doing this is SM, which habitually buys demos from US artists/producers. Occasionally the demo belongs to a pool which means it can be sold more than once, so other versions emerge. A few Kesha demos in particular have been recorded by SM artists, including RDR and Chain Reaction by SNSD and Butterscotch by Krystal from f(x) though that one has yet to see the light of day. Another recent one is Taemin's Press Your Number, which is a reworked version of a Bruno Mars demo.
This is all for K-pop, though. J-pop is a completely different industry and afaik that almost never happens there. The only example I can think of is Koda Kumi doing a version of that one Kelly Clarkson bonus track, though the original had been out for a while so that's more of a cover than anything else.

Is Boa apart of that group? She (who is a huge stan of Britney) got ahold of Britney's Look Who's Talking Now an unreleased from her 4th album In the Zone for her English Album Self Titled
