This is what happens when streaming takes over. Music becomes a fRih-for-all a la carte experience.
Established artists aren't recouping enough money to do exciting things. Up n coming artists are stuck in limbo. New artists don't have the budget to launch their careers.
Everyone's perchT on Instagram and twitter as free, cheap promotional outlets. As a result, there's nothing interesting to talk about.
Basically whatever happens when something becomes frih.
