I just hope it's a positive adjustment. We don't all need to be "YASSSSSSSSS QUEEN" for the beginning and then act like we've hated it this whole time after the delusion wears off. Come through with your masterpiece queen indeed.

Her fans are her harshest critics. Which is kind of a shame, most of their critique comes from the fact that its not as good as or doesn't look/sound like 2009 or 2010. The public has been well receiving of the new things she's done lately, especially not dressing up as hot cheetos or using a cheap stunt trick. I just think it'll take some getting used to, and unfortunately the "all I want is dance pop/ Pop" fans will most likely take a break or jump ship.

Look at it this way, what made Gaga so exciting to follow was how unexpected she was.

The thrill was not knowing where she'd take us next. But with ARTPOP we saw that she wasn't sure where to go and she'd slightly lost her nerve trying to please people, so she retrod some ideas in the hope it'd reap similar results (a direct request from some fans) and elsewhere got into a place of having to top herself just for the sake of it (which ended up a little desperate). I see that road as a dead-end. She's already gone as far down the 'classic Gaga' route as she could. She absolutely, 100% needed a new direction.

Hopefully LG5 is her continuing how unexpected she can be, but this time with a rebrand rather than a new costume because that's what it'll take to surprise people - including us - now.

yeah i'm impatient but the biggest problem with artpop was that she was unsure. about pretty much everything. i need her to be confident about this new album and era and stand 100% behind it. then i know she will deliver.
