Yeah she is.
The divas of the 80s and 90s are just that. The divas of the 00s and 10''s are here and Beyoncé is leading the pack.

These five women, the Big 5, are among the most successful, best selling, most influential, iconic and legendary female musicians of all time.

Just because these amazing ladies did it first doesn't mean they did it better. Bey is honestly above few of them already

well, beyoncé and co never had an album selling as much as TEOM (2005) did (6,1 million via soundscan), or as much as COADF (2005) did in Europe (5,5m)
whatever you're saying... it's thru a biased view of convenience. The 80's and 90's divas are still here. And they are still enjoying success in fields, your fave doesn't even know exists.
in fact, nobody has ever been as much exposed of stealing other ppl's ideas and concepts as Beyoncé. She's like Elvis in that respect. Not one original bone in the body, but praised for her deviousness.

Tina Turner was still scoring global hits and selling out stadiums 20+ years into her solo career. Does that make her part of the Big 4?

And dead @ someone saying that the others have only "time" on Bey..well duh. And they also created the template for others to follow..

They're so ignorant and they don't even know it.

- 40 #1 hits
- MASSIVE amount of top tens
- Number one albums
- Oscar (plus two other nominations)
- 4 of his songs won Academy Awards for Best Song (10 other nominations)
- Many successful films
- Being the #1 Box Office Star five years in a row (top ten in different 15 years)
- Singing one of the most iconic songs of all time, still used today
- A span of 50 years between his first and last charting singles
- Inspiring TONS of artists
- and more!
It was a different time, and most today would say they are bigger than Bing. Comparatively, they might not be on the same level, but for their respective times, they have reached the same heights and so are on the same level.

How does an "average American pop girl" get such above average tour stats?
Could it be she is not an "average American pop girl"?

Beyonce has bigger tours then Michael Jackson it really don't mean anything to the general public she's a Icon and is well respected and a pioneer to so many females this generation but outside the US (touring aside) she's not as big as some American fans believe She's extremely successful globally but remove her touring stats she's on the same level as all the other popgirls in some places she's not even on par with them she's actually behind and not as successful.
People think been currently hugely successful and musically relevant makes you a legend you earn it way after your Peak
The only girl from this generation who is regarded as a legend is Britney spears

Why ask this question when you know her sales stats don't even hold a candle to Katy Perry?

Beyoncé doesn't have bigger tours than MJ. U know, back in MJ's time, ticket prices were like $30... he played for 2-3 million people during all of his tours lol.

If you disagree...your fav just isn't THAT great so you are just salty. Beyoncé will go down as one of the greatest performers and be remembered, talked about, celebrated, and loved just as MJ and Whitney and the others.

You had to go back over 10 years to say they are still here though. I mean, they are, but are no where as successful as then.
And Beyoncé is not a devious stealer. Her prominent copies have been all from iconic pieces of work that are hardly hidden and stolen. And to compare her to Elvis is, I guess, to compare her to one of the most iconic and popular musicians of the 20th Century, did you do that on purpose? (Though Elvis taking black music and using it is way different than Beyoncé coping a Bob Fosse move).

Yes, her bigger tours than MJ don't mean much to the GP, but nothing we are using here usually does (stats, charts, influence, etc.) What the GP cares about is perception and respect. So then why is she touring so strongly WW if she is not successful there? Do people usually go to concerts for average pop stars no one cares about?
AND
Britney is not a legend. Britney is an icon. Neither of the two are more prestigious than the other, they just have different meanings. I do not know how many times I have to say this, it's like people can't find the dictionary.

I think a lot of people are confusing Beyoncé matching every aspect of the successes these women have had, with being on their level for this generation. Every generation has their icons and legends, that doesn't mean that every generations' icons and legends were as successful as the last, or the ones to follow. So for this generation (the 2000s/2010s) there are few other artists as successful as Beyoncé.
