But like I said, it comes with the territory. The UK was much more patriotic when it had its great empire and was the strongest country in the world. Now it's America who's held that title since WWII, and that's when hyper-patriotism really started to take off. Australia has never been the world's megapower, so they'd have no reason to share that sense of patriotism.
