And people still dragged her saying she was afraid to "release it" and that it would flop when, in reality, the album was going a completely different direction. If she had released it to capitalize off of Pepsi's promo budget, it'd be exactly the same situation as Rise right now. But she's steadfast about her artistic vision and didn't want that to interfere.
The only difference here is that Katy wants
all the money involved since it's the Olympics who'll footing the promo bill. It's a parallel of Grown Woman, but Katy's just a little bit greedier. But in the grand scheme of things, it won't matter.
