Hotline Bling & Famous are the only songs nominated where anytime someone brings up the song, the video is automatically also associated and thought of. The video goes in hand with the song.
Hotline Bling's video, it's impact was a much higher magnitude than Famous it's video ofcourse.

ATRL always gets so excited about the stupid VMAs. Then the show is always trash, the ratings are always bad, the sales boosts are negligible and a few weeks later no one even remembers who won.
Sorry's video was huge, everyone actually knows it. Just because its not as meme-y doesn't mean it doesn't have impact. the two are kind of used too interchangeably these days
I feel like all the VOTY noms this year are strong contenders, except for Formation which no one really watched.
